More Than Poses: What Queer Love Looks Like Through My Lens
There’s no one way to be in love—especially not here.
Your tenderness, your playfulness, your queerness—it all belongs in the frame. These sessions aren’t about recreating someone else’s version of romance. They’re about honoring yours, exactly as it is.
What Queer Love Looks Like
When I photograph queer couples, there’s no mold to fit into. I’m not interested in asking one of you to “look more like the guy” or assigning roles for the sake of symmetry. What I am interested in?
☾ The way you laugh so hard you collapse into each other
☾ The gentle hand on the small of a back
☾ The messy, silly, soft, grounded, sacred way you love
Every couple brings something different to a session. Some are wild and loud. Some are soft and still. Some bring dogs and snacks, and playlists. Some bring nerves. All of it is welcome.
Beyond Gendered Posing
You won’t find gendered posing in my sessions—no “feminine touch” here or “masculine lead” there. Instead, I use open-ended prompts to guide you into natural moments. I might say:
“Hold hands and walk toward me like you’re on an adventure!”
“Whisper your favorite thing about them.”
“Dance like you’re in the kitchen making pancakes.”
These prompts don’t assume who leads or who holds. They leave room for truth.
Queerness Is Connection
Queer love is layered. Sometimes it’s playful, sometimes defiant. Sometimes it’s held together by chosen family, quiet understanding, or years of becoming. I aim to photograph all of that—the richness, the resilience, the joy.
Your queerness is not a detail I tuck away. It’s a thread I honor in the way I shoot, in the comfort I create, and in the art we make together.
Want to see what your love looks like from the outside?
Let’s create something that feels like you. Free, fun, full of feeling, and deeply affirming. Reach out when it feels right. I’ll be here, ready to listen and document what’s real.
