Couples Sessions

Spring, Texas + Greater Houston area couples photography that feels like you.

What it feels like to work together

Guided, playful, and built around the two of you.

Most couples tell me before their session, “We’re awkward in photos.” Honestly, that’s incredibly common. Give it 10 minutes and I promise it’ll be like the camera isn’t even there. The good news is that you do not need modeling experience, a Pinterest pose list, or a plan for what to do with your hands. My job is to guide you in a way that feels natural, encouraging, and specific to your relationship.

You don’t need to know how to pose

I’ll guide you through the entire session with prompts, movement, conversation, and gentle direction. Sometimes I’ll demonstrate what I mean, sometimes I’ll give encouragement, and sometimes I’ll step back and let the moment unfold naturally.

The goal is not to make you perform for the camera. It is to give you something to do together so the photos feel like a real interaction instead of a series of stiff poses.

A little playful, a little intimate

My favorite sessions have a mix of both. We might walk, joke around, race each other, tell stories, dance a little, or lean into the kind of playful energy that makes you forget the camera is there. And then we’ll slow things down. Those quieter moments, when you naturally settle into each other, are often the ones that become favorites in the final gallery.

Built around your relationship

Before your session, I send a questionnaire so I can get to know you both a little better. The more I understand your personalities, your dynamic, and what matters to you, the more intentional I can be with the session. That means I’m not pulling the same prompts for every couple. I’m thinking about what will make you laugh, what will help you relax, and what will feel most like your relationship.

The part couples remember most

The thing I hear most often after a session is not “I can’t wait to see the photos.” It is “That was actually so much fun.”

That is exactly what I want. I want the session to feel less like checking something off your to-do list and more like spending intentional time together. The photos are important, but the experience should feel good while it’s happening, too.

Wardrobe help included

One of the most common questions I get is what to wear. I’ll help you choose outfits that photograph well together, feel comfortable, and fit the location and overall feel of your gallery. I’m happy to offer guidance so everything feels cohesive without feeling overly coordinated.

Dogs are always welcome

Another common question is whether dogs can come. The answer is absolutely yes. For many couples, dogs are part of the story, and I love including them when it makes sense for the session. We’ll make space for portraits with your pup, candid moments together, and the little in-between interactions that make your gallery feel like real life.

A relaxed, inclusive space

I proudly photograph couples of all identities, orientations, and backgrounds. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without pressure to perform or fit a certain mold. Just honest photographs that feel like your relationship.

✧ FAQ: Houston Couples Photography Sessions ✧

Every couple’s story is different, and I know photoshoots can feel a little intimidating if it’s your first time. Here are answers to some of the questions couples often ask, so you can relax, connect, and enjoy the experience.

Have a question that isn’t on this list? You can always send me an email.

𖤓 We’ve never had professional photos taken. How do you help us feel comfortable?
You don’t need to know how to pose or perform. I’ll guide you with gentle direction, playful prompts, and natural movement so you can focus on each other. My sessions are about connection, not perfection. Expect a mix of laughter, quiet moments, and space to simply be yourselves.

I’m also very big on including music in my sessions. In my questionnaire, I ask if there are any favorite songs between the two of you, and put together a custom playlist for our time together. I find having your favorite songs playing in the background really helps ease session jitters.

𖤓 Can we bring our dog to the session?
Pleaseeeee! Dogs are part of your love story, and I love including them. There’s no extra charge and no limit on the number of pups, so bring the whole crew. Think we may need an extra set of hands? I have trusted dog folks I can bring along to your session to help out.

𖤓 Do you offer in-home couples sessions in Houston?
Sure do! I have a soft spot for these types of sessions. In-home sessions are some of the most intimate and they’re perfect if you want your photos to feel cozy, real, and personal.

𖤓 How far in advance should we book our couples photoshoot?
I recommend reaching out at least 4-6 weeks in advance, especially for weekends or popular seasons like spring and fall. That said, I always do my best to accommodate last-minute openings.

𖤓 What happens if the weather is bad for our outdoor session?
Houston weather keeps us on our toes, but I always build in flexibility. If rain, storms, or extreme heat roll in, we’ll reschedule for the soonest available date or shift to a cozy in-home session if you’re up for it. Your experience matters more than the forecast.

𖤓 Where do you offer couples photography sessions?
I’m based in Spring and serve Houston, The Woodlands, Conroe, and Magnolia. I am also available to travel outside of the greater Houston area! Whether you’re dreaming of an adventurous outdoor session, a cozy at-home shoot, or a spot that’s special to you both, I’ll help you choose the perfect place.

𖤓 Do you offer sessions for LGBTQ+ couples?
Always! My sessions are affirming and inclusive, with no assumptions and no pressure. Just space to celebrate your connection exactly as you are. You can read more about that
here.
